Laura Friesen

I am a high school Home Economist and teacher with a Master of Education in Technology and Instructional Design, University of Sasaktchewan.  I have been using computer technology in my classroom for 23 years but with recent developments in Web 2.0 tools, things are really getting fun.  It is now hard to imagine teaching without the Web!  I have been waiting for a LMS like Nixty and I am using it in combination with a wiki to create a blended course for my senior high school students. I know they need to practice skills in utlilizing technology to aid their learning trajectory and this vehicle provides an excellent beginning.  So, welcome to Nixty!  And welcome to my Foods 30 course.
